The peaticle have velocity in two perpendicular directions i.e in x axis and y axis .

Resultant of two perpendicular vectors=(v1 +v2²) ¹/².

V1=11m/s and v2= 6m/s

Vnet=(11² +6²) ¹/²

Vnet=(121+36)¹/²

Vnet=(157)¹/²

Vnet=12.53m/s.

B):we have one component on x axis and other on y axis,so we have

Tanx=perpendicular/base

Tan x=y component/x component

Tan x=6/11

X=tant-¹(6/11)

X=28.60 degrees with x axis in counter clickwise direction.
