HbA1C is a more accurate indicator of blood glucose levels because it provides a long term measurement of blood glucose levels. HbA1C determines the average blood glucose concentration over a period of 2-3 months. Normal blood glucose testing provides the current blood glucose concentration but on the other hand HbA1C levels provide a long term result which depicts how high the blood glucose concentration has been over a period of time.
