Lima, Peru is located at Peru country in the Cities place category with the gps coordinates of 12° 2' 46.9464'' S and 77° 2' 34.0548'' W. Chile is 35.6751° S, 71.5430° W.

Equator passes near to Peru.The climate on the coast of Peru is arid and semi-arid with high temperatures and very little rainfall. The presence of Andes mountains observe a cool-to-cold climate with rainy summers and very dry winter. The eastern lowlands present an Equatorial climate with hot weather and rain distributed all year long.

The most important factors that control the climate in Chile are the Pacific Anticyclone, the southern circumpolar low pressure area, the cold Humboldt current, the Chilean Coast Range and the Andes Mountains. In Chile January is the hottest month in Santiago with an average temperature of 21°C and the coldest is June at 9°C.
