Question

A reheat regenerative rankine cycle. Steam enters the turbine at 8MPa and 500 C at a rate of 15 kg/s and is condensed to 20 kPa. Steam is reheated at MPa to 500 C. Steam is extracted from low pressure turbine at 1MPa, and completely condensed in closed feedwater and pumped to 8MPa before it mixes with the feedwater at the same pressure. Isentropic efficiency of 88 percent for the turbine and pump. Find the temperature of the steam at the inlet of the closed feedwater heater. Mass flow rate of steam extracted from the turbine for the closed feedwater heater, the net power and thermal efficiency.
