Unsaturated fatty have one or more double bonds between their carbon atoms. These double bonds can be converted to single bonds by addition of more hydrogen atom. Addition of hydrogen to double bonds will convert them to saturated fatty acids. Hence, saturated fatty acids have more hydrogen than unsaturated fatty acids with same number of carbon atoms.
