Question

For a horizontal plane, the incidence angle (theta) and zenith angle (zeta_z) are the same at solar noon only. T F Phase Change Materials can be used in cooling and heating applications T F Electrostatic Precipitators device Does not work properly for high resistivity ash T F Nuclear energy is a renewable one. T F Blue flame is desired in gas stoves because it produces it produces localized heating, less soot and hot flame. T F Gas analyzer device is an electronic apparatus that gives the same analysis for combustion products, in addition to H_2S, NO_x, SO_X and HC T F As the PV cell temperature increases above 25 degree C, the module power decreases T F When water boils and changes from a liquid to a gas its thermal energy stays the same. T F Mono-crystalline PV is more efficient than poly-Crystalline. T F Shading can half or even completely eliminate the output of a solar array. T F

Explanation / Answer

for the first question the answer is true since at the solar noon the angle of incidence and zenith will be same because the rays of sun in the noon strike at vertical angle and the zenith angle is 90 and incidence is also 90 so its true.

phase change materials shouldnot be used for heating and cooling purpose since the material properties changes on heating and the desired work output cant be achieved, so one shouldnot use phase change materials in heating and cooling.

since the electrostatic precipitator device cant work properly for high resistivity ash as it shows adverse effect of voltage drop and back corona it doesnot work properly.

yes nuclear energy can be treated as a renewable energy because every atom generates heat on collision and on other hand nuclear energy is same as heat energy
