For each month, select at least four data to represent the month [(T_max, Phi_max), (T_min and Phi_ min.) and (T_min, Phi_max)] to represent Dhahran climate Make a plot of the volume flow rate of air into the cooling tower vesus the enthalpy of the air-water vapor mixture (h_mix) Make a plot of the mass flow rate of the required makeup water in terms of (h_mix). Select a pump to satisfy the mass flow rate of the makeup water and the volume flow rate of the air The report should include your conclusions.

If x is the amount of makeup water supplied to replenish the evaporation loss then,

x= G(W2-W1), where G = mass flow rate of dry air , kg/s

W= specific humidity

By energy balance :

wc(hw3-hw4)= G(h2-h1)-G(W2-W1)hw,

Where wc= circulating water flow rate , kg/s

hw= Enthalpy of circulating water,kJ/kg& h= Ethalpy of dry air, kJ/kg
