Question
10 cm 0.012T 10 cm 0.02 T 0.036 T In the figure above, the magnetic field in a region is vertical and was measured to have the values shown on the surface of a cylinder. Which of the following statements are true? A. The magnetic flux over the closed box is nonzero, which violates Gauss's Law for magnetism B. l he measurements imply that the box contains a bar magnet. C. The measurements imply that the box contains nothing at all. D. The measurements imply that the box contains a current carrying loop. E. The measurements are probably incorrect, since we have never yet found a magnetic monopole. B and D C and E O A and E O EExplanation / Answer
The most probable answer to this problem is the option 4, since the Gausse's law is voilating here coz the incomming and the outcomming flux are not equal and the increase in the magnetic suggested that there would be a source inside the box that could increase the magnetic field but if there would be a source inside then the effect would be cancelled out since the number of lines going in and out from that source are equal. therefore the measurement is probably incorrect since we not yet found any monopole.
