I created a SN of Vb and Vc and then created a system ofequations to get the values for Ix, Va, Vb, and Vc: Ix = -12, Va = 10, Vb = -40 Vc = -36 (I'd like to know if those are correct.)
I'm now solving for PDS, which equalsVDS * IDS. Well, obviously the current is 2 *Ix = -24, but I know not how to find the voltage. Also, how do Ifind the voltage of the 2 ampere source?
And as much as I'd just like hints, I won't be upset if youjust give the answer. I'll probably be able to follow your methods,though it'd be great to know the name of the method you use.

mir23: Would you please explain that SN KCL? I don't follow how yougot the formula, and I don't understand the multiplication of 5 tothe left and right of the parentheses. supernode: connection of 2 or more devices by a voltage source aslong as the voltage source is not connected to ground. first thing we need to do is to minimize our equation. to do thiswe take the number of nodes - 1 reference - number of voltagesources: in this case we have: 4 nodes - 1 ref - 2 voltage sources = 1 equation/1 unknown next we could simplify Vc to equal 3ix. then we could simplify Vb to equal 3ix + 4 finally we can say that Va = 10b now we have 1 unknown and 1 equation. when multiplied by 5 its to get rid of the denominator to simplifythe equation. hope this helps....
