Question
Predict if/how the population of dots will evolve if predation is random. Random predation will result in evolution (change in gene frequences) but not adaptive evolution (i.e. you can predict the results) as compared to when predatio not randome and there is a selective advantage. - The population will evolve because the population size remains the same from one generation to the next because predation did not change the population size. Random predation will not result in evolution. Gene frequencies will change but because you cannot predict the outcome, it is not an example of evolution. Evolution should result in favorable adaptations.Explanation / Answer
Random predation will result in evolution (change in gene frequencies) but not adaptive evolution (i.e. you can predict the result) as compard to when predation is not random and there is a selective advantage.
