Question

Greetings to all, I a'm doing a lab on my Circuits I class that is to be solvedwith Nodal Analysis. So what I need to get is VA and VB, and with those voltagesget my i1, i2, and i3. The problem that I am having is getting the correct formulasfor VA and VB with the nodal analysis method. The formulas that i get for VA and VB are thefollowing.. VA (VA-4.5V)/3K = VA/6K + (VB-VA/2K) (VB-VA)/2K + 3mA = (VB-11V)/1K And the values that I get for VA and VB are different from thevalues that PSpice gives me. can anyone help me with my equations??

Explanation / Answer

You have a couple of sign errors

VA:

((4.5-VA)/3k) – VA/6k +((VB-VA)/2k) = 0

VB:

((VA-VB)/2k) + 3mA + ((11-VB)/1k) = 0

Solve one of the eqs for either VA or VB and plug it into theother eq.
