In the position shown, the cable from the log to the first pulley is vertical, and the log is inclined at an angle of 30 degrees to the ground. Assume that neither the ground nor the block at A provides any moment restraint, and neglect the radial distance from the center of the log to the two points of contact at A. (a) determine the tension in the cable and the reaction force at end A and (b) determine the internal resultants at cross section C at the midpoint of the log.
