I thought the answer was A (even though the answer wasn't marked correct), and someone here told me the correct answer is B. However, I researched further into the matter and found these two sources, which are saying it should be A (the mRNA is the same exact code in the 5' 3' direction, only with U replaced for T)

So, if these are the right processes, why isn't the answer A then? I don't know what to believe anymore.

All of the RNA in cell made by DNA transcription. RNA molecule is complementry to the one strand of DNA, this strand is called template strand. Sequence of mRNA is similiar to the other strand that is coding strand of DNA. RNA strand is extended by one nucleotide in 5' to 3' direction.

5' ACGGUACAUU 3' mRNA strand

Your answer is right ( A) according to this explanation because mRNA always transcribed 5' to 3' direction. mRNA consist of the codon corresponding to those present in the coding strand of DNA except instead of T, U base present in mRNA. RNA polymerase catalyze the transcription process always in 5' to 3' direction.

However there is a one possibility, that the position of this sequence of coding strand that change the polarity of mRNA strand synthesize from template strand because the difference in the option A and B , is the difference of polarity.
