Question

RL Circuit:

            The voltage source VS is set to 10 Cos(?t), use phasor notation and find VR with respect to VS, that is, the impedance (Z) of the circuit. The frequencies are 100Hz, 1000Hz, and 10000Hz. Show the impedance in the rectangular form, and the polar form with magnitude and phase angle. Show the impedance in the rectangular form, and the polar form with magnitude and phase angle. Let R = 2K? and L = 0.1H. or 100mH.

Looking for solutions to check my work,

Thanks

Explanation / Answer

Z= sqrt(R^2+(WL-1/WC)^2) = R i + (WL-1/WC)j

so when frequency is 100 hz W= 2*3.14*100=628

at 1000hz W= 6280

and 10000hz W=62800

Z1=2000i+62.8j

Z2=2000i+628j

Z3=2000i+6280j
