A ··A- t .e. .·LNorrmal |"NoSpac Heading 1 Heading 2 Title Paragraph Styles 1. One group of students in the first lab using the inclined air table measured a value of (9.71-0.09) m/s2 for the acceleration of gravity. Is this value accurate? Explain this value is accurate. When compared to the known value of gravity 9.80 m/s2. by percent difference 98-9.71 divided by the sum which is 19.5...then multiplied by 200 is 922 or 98-9.7/19.51/2)x100 Is 322%, this value is within the range of a great and accurate value. 2. Another group of students in the first lab using the inclined air table measured a value of (916 /-0.02) m/s2 for the acceleration of gravity. Is this value precise? Explain. 15

Explanation / Answer

2. Precision refers to closeness of two or more measurements. For example - If we measure something for several times and we get same value each and every time then we have precision.

Now the max value measured by student is 9.16 + 0.02 = 9.18 and min value is 9.12 - 0.02 = 9.14.

There is very less difference between these values.
