Explanation / Answer

a)

speed, v = length of arc / time taken

So, v = 231/35

or, v = 6.6 m/s

b)

acceleration , a = v^2/R

= 6.6^2/R

Now, length of the arc = pi*R/2 = 231

So, R = 462/pi

So, a = 6.6^2/(462/pi) = 0.296 m/s2 <------- answer

direction = 180 - 35 = 145 deg <------ answer
