Conduction transfer of heat via direct molecular contact . area of higher kinetic energy will transfer energy to area of lower kinetic energy. contact of hand against metal rod.

while convection is the transfer of heat by current in fluid is called convection. example boiling water .In convection heat is transfer in solid liquid and gases while in radiation heat is transfer in the form of electromagnetic waves example infrared light.

Animal transfer heat with environment by conduction , convection and thermal radiation.Larger body area will transfer more heat.
