The overall angular magnification M of a microscope M is product of two factors

one is latral magnification m1, second one is angular magnification M2

first one from the problem is m1 = -3.01887

now the angular magnification M2 = (y/f2)/(y/25)

M2 = (25/f2)

where f2 is focal length of the eyepiece

M2 = (25/9.26) = 2.69978
