Tribo - Electircity
Tribo means to rub. As the name suggests, it is a process to make any material electrically charged by bringing it in contact with other material and then separating it.
As per the triboelectric series, Nylon is more posotively charges than wool, so more positive charges material will tend to attract more electrons.
Polystyrene is a negative charged material so it tends to loose electrons.
Out of glass and silk, glass is more positively charged so when we rub these two together, glass will tend to attract more electrons.
When pair of materials is rubbed together, on will be left with net positive charge and one will be left with neutral charge.
3. When they are brought is close proximity then there will be a charge transfer. The materials will try to become electrically stable by exchanging charges.
