(A) gain in Ke = q (deltaV)

1.67 x 10^-27 (v^2 - (1.62 x 10^4)^2) / 2 = (1.6 x 10^-19)(9 -2.46)

v = 3.89 x 10^4 m/s


(B) d = (12.3)(2.46)/9 = 3.36 mm


(C) E = V/d = 732 V/m


(D) V = (8.46/12.3)(9) = 6.19 volt
