V = IR => R = V/I

R = 2.9/0.16 = 18.13 Ohm

Hence, R = 18.13 Ohm

We know tat,

V = emf - Ir

2.9 = 3 - 0.16 r => r = 0.625 Ohm

Hence, r = 0.625 Ohm

energy dissipated is:

P = I^2 r

P = 0.16^2 x 0.625 = 0.016 W

P = E/T => E = PT

E = 0.016 x 78 s = 1.25 J

Hence, E = 1.25 J

R = 14 Ohm ; r = 2 x 0.625 = 1.25 r

Req = 14 + 1.25 = 15.25 Ohm
