There wouldnt be any displacement at the end of the whole trip, However displacement after the first 2.5 hours is just simply24km north Now let's find the average velocity. Vav = (totaldistance / total time). Remember total distance is 24 x 2because its for both ways. Vav = [(24)(2)] / (2.5+1.5) = 12km/h
