Question
I have no clue how to go by solving the problem. Pleasehelp.A dart gun is fired while being held horizontally at a height of1.00 m above ground level and while it isat rest relative to the ground. The dart from the gun travels ahorizontal distance of 5.50 m. A collegestudent holds the same gun in a horizontal position while slidingdown a 45.0° incline at a constant speed of 2.00 m/s. How far will the dart travel if the studentfires the gun when it is 1.00 m above the ground?

Explanation / Answer
I don't want to do the work for you, but I'll help youget a start. Step 1 Find the hortizontal component of the veleocity from theslide. (use trig) Step 2 Using the givens from the stand still fire, find the time ittakes for the dart to hit the ground. Use that time found and multiple by the velocity in step 1 toget a distance. Step 3 Add the distance found in step 2 to the distance given in thequestion. Thats it. If you need more help with this, private message meand I will be willing to help.Related Questions
