Question
If you have a q1 inside a spherical surface and a q2 sittingoutside of the spherical surface (these stand for charges), thenhow is the electric flux affected in the surface? Will itdepend only on q1? An example in General Physics by Walkersays that if there is no charge inside the surface then theelectric flux would be zero inside the surface. I do notcompletely understand this conceptually. Does the q2 affectthe electric flux or is q1, the only factor? However, wouldq2 affect the charge on the surface, because the surface, not theinside should feel the affect of the charge, right?Thank you!
Explanation / Answer
Net flux linked with the surface dpends onlyupon the charge inside the surface, i.e. q1.Related Questions
