Sketch the circuit. If a current (i) flows and the bulb lights up, do you think the current will: a. b. c. drop slightly over time as the bulb heats up; increase slightly over time as the bulb heats up; stay the same over time. Explain your reasoning. n particular, if the current in the bulb's filament depends on the answer question 4 average velocity of the electrons, explain how the average velocity is affected as the bulb heats up. Write down an expression for the conductivity of a metal in terms of the mobility of the electrons Explain how the mobility connects the average electron velocity to the applied electric field. In (2) above, what do you think is happening to the mobility? 3. 4. 1655, 511p 1948 578p O Type here to search

Explanation / Answer

Mobility = avarage velocity/electric field

And current is proportional to avarage velocity of electrons

Resistance of fillament will increase with time because temperature of fillament will increase so current will decrease.

So average velocity of electrons will decrease it means

Mobility is decreasing
