Question

Build circuit below, analyse in terms of Kirchhoff's rules. Be specific and explain with evidence .

Electronics 012-05892A Table 7.1 Resistance, ? Voltage, volts Current, mA V. /m 0 4 4.54mA Analysis Determine the net current flow into or out of each of the four "nodes" in the circuit. Deternmine the net voltage drop around at least three (3) of the six or so closed loops. Remem- ber, if the potential goes up. treat the voltage drop as positive (+), while if the potential goes down, treat it as negative Discussion Use your experimental results to analyze the circuit you built in terms of Kirchhoff's Rules. Be specific and state the evidence for your conclusions Extension Build the circuit below and apply the same procedure you used previously. Analyze it in terms of Kirchhoff's Rules. If possible, try to analyze the circuit ahead of time and compare your measured values with the theoretically computed values. R, V, Figure 7.2

Explanation / Answer

let currnet i leave voltage source V1
then, this current divides into i1 and i-i1 with i1 going through R4 ( kirchoff's current law)
now from kirchoff's loop law
V1 = i(R1 + R2) + (i - i1)R3
V2 = i1(R4 + R5) - (i - i1)R3

V1 = i(R1 + R2 + R3) - i1*R3
V2 = i1(R3 + R4 + R5) - i*R3

V1*R3 = (i1(R3 + R4 + R5) - V2)(R1 + R2 + R3) - i1*R3^2

given
R1 = R2 = R3 = R4 = R = 205 ohm
R5 = 165 ohm

V1 = 0.75 V = V2
hence

0.75*205 = (353420*i1 - 461.25)
i1 = 1.740139211 mA
i = 1.79955859883 mA

now from the readings in the circuit diagram we can find the error between the respective terms in the readins and from the calculations
