Explanation / Answer

Problem 1:

Total number of vertical division on the oscilloscope = 8

voltage dial is set as 2 volts per division

Voltage difference between the top level and the bottom level is (volts per divison * Total number of vertical division on the oscilloscope) = 2*8 = 16 volt

Thus the Voltage difference between the top level and the bottom level is 16 Volt

However the Voltage difference for the graph shown is 2*7 = 14 volt [number of vertical division s is 7 ]

Problem 2:

Time dial is set as 50ms per division (Given in the question)

Nuber of divisons between the middle vertical line and right vertical line = 5 (as seen the from the figure)

Therefore the time difference between the middle vertical line and right vertical line = (50ms * 5)

= 250ms

Problem 3:

Number of divsion on the oscilloscope is = 8

voltage dial is set as 0.5 volts per division

Total Voltage difference = 0.5*8 = 4volts

Therefore voltage difference between the top level voltage and the voltage half way down is half of the total Voltage difference = 2 Volts

Problem 4:

Time dial is set as 2ms per division

Nuber of divisons on time axis for the signal to fall way down from the top = 5

Therefore the time taken = 2ms * 5

=10ms
