Question

"You are making an optical system with two converging lenses(f1=+12cm and f2=+9cm). They are separated by 20cm. Thelens labeled f1 is to the left of the one labeled f2. A 3cmtall flower is 5cm to the left of f1. Use ray tracing toestimate the image's location, orientation (upright or inverted),and the magnification. Use the thin lens formula to confirmyour results." I don't know how to set up the diagram. It is confusingto me that the second lens focal point is shorter than the firstlens focal point. My answer gets an upright, virtual image, and the magnification is less than 1. It doesn't seemright. Please help me set it up. Thank you. Explanation / Answer

If the image is upright, it is virtual then?  I can't believe I got most of it right!  Thank you, I didn't realize I needed to do the magnification for both lenses.
