1 as link a (crank) rotates clockwise 90 degress the connecting rod
moves towards right providing enough space for the incoming ball and it
will be the maximum extent of clearance the ball could get in a cylce
(assume the system as single slider of piston cylinder)
2.since it is the maximum extent of clearance at this stage the ball
falls in the space provided
3.if the link A moves another 90 degrees clockwise the link C starts
moving towards left and the space gets lesser and lesser as it moves
angularly
4.this type of device could be used where there is need of a spherical
material in certain time period periodically and continuolsly.as the
link A rotates link C governs the movement of the ball and drops it
into the grovees provided periodically if crank rotates with constant
angular velocity
5.chamfers help the link C to stop upcoming ball
6.as in question this type of mechanism can be used in automated
bearing assembly machine.with this type of mechanism we can know how
many balls have dropped and we could control numbers of balls to be dropped
by computer or a processing machine and we could also set the number of
drops per minute everything without a need of hand.
