Question

3-47

Assume the price of a gallon of milk is normally distributed with a mean price of $2.16 with a standard deviation of $0.07. On a given day, a particular food store sold milk for $2.09 Interpret the z-score for this gas station. OA. The milk price of this food store falls 7 standard deviations above the mean milk price of all food stores. OB. The milk price of this food store falls 1 standard deviation above the mean milk price of all food stores. Oc. The milk price of this food store falls 1 standard deviation below the milk gas price of all food stores. OD. The milk price of this food store falls 7 standard deviations below the mean milk price of all food stores. Regression ACT versus CPA

Explanation / Answer

transform the ciruit in phasor domain

we know that impedance of inductor in phasor domain ZL = jwL

we have i1 = 4sin20t

so frquency w = 20

hence ZL1 = jwL1 = j*20*0.2 = j4 ohm

ZL2 = jwL2 = j*20*0.8 = j16 ohm

ZM = jwM = j*20*0.3 = j6 ohm

applying KVL to loop1 we have,

V1 = ZL1*i1 - ZM*i2

but i2 = 0

so,

V1 = ZL1*i1

i1 = 4sin20 = 4 angle 0'

so,

V1 = j4*4

V1 = j16 V

we can also write V1 as

V1 = 16 angle 90'

and in sinusoidal form we have,

i1 = 4sin20t

frequency remain same,

so

V1 = 16sin((20t+90')

V1 = 16cos20t

now appplying KVL to loop 2 we have,

V2 = ZL2*i2 - ZM*i1

i2 = 0 so,

V2 = -ZM*i1

V2 = -j6*4

V2 = -j24

V2 = 24 angle -90'

so write V2 in sinusoidal form we have,

V2 = 24sin(20t-90')

V2 = -24sin(90-20t)

V2 = -24cos20t
