Consider the following chemical mixing process which is to be controlled by a PLC (Mitsubishi GX Developer or Trilogi)

the process control actions are

press the start button

if the tank is empty initially switch on supply pump1 for 50 sec and supply pump2 for 30 sec

if the tank is not empty initially stop the process automatically and indicate an alarm

activate a mixer paddle in the tank

after initially mixing of 20 sec switch on an element heater for 200 sec to heat the chemicals while still mixing

the element heater and the mixing paddle are then switched off and a discharge pump is activated to empty the chemical from the tank

pressing the stop button anytime will stop the process immediately

Inputs - start switch n/o spring return (x0) stop switch n/c spring return (x1) tank full level sensor (n/o) (x2) tank empty level sensor n/o (x3)

Outputs - supply pump1 (y0) supply pump2 (y1) mixer paddle (y2) discharge pump (y3) heater element (y4) alarm (y5)
