BOD will be lower , when bottles are not placced in dark place then due to light, algae present in bottle will start photosynthesis and produce oxygen , so when student takes the reading of DO after 5 days .Then they will note higher DO ,its means oxygen consumesd for organic de composition is less, so BOD 5 will be lower than actual value.

Or Ph=14-POH

POH=-log(OH^- concentration in Mol/L)

So given concentration mg/L will convert into Mol/L

Mol/L=(gm/L)/molecular weight = (mg/L)×10^-3 /(m.w 17)
