1. Which other event is most is most likely to occur first during this 8-hour period?

a. Mass proliferation of T cells b. mass apoptosis of T cells c. Production of antimibrobial peptides d. Rapid generation of antibodies

2. Which of the following statement is correct regarding this early phase episode?

a. Responses point to the importance of the adaptive immune system in quickly suppressing the onset of the illness b.The innate system is engaged utilizing phagocytosis, the complement system, and opsoniztion c. Chronic infections can be quickly rectified by the involvement of phagocytes d. Both A and B are correct

Explanation / Answer

1.the other event that may most likely occur after first 8 hours is mass proliferation of T Cells. meningococcus is a bacteria that rapidly induces T cell response in infected person. T cell play direct role in antibody response. firstly HELPER T cell prolifirate and rapid formation of memory T cells.

2.in the early phase of the disease our immune system is provoked by the meningococcal outer membrane antigen. meningococcal infection activates both B, T cell response and complement system is also engaged againnst the pathogen. phagocytes are a type of nutrophil cell that engulfs the pathogen and kill it.

so in early stage in above question A and B OPTION ARE CORRECT.
