Question

if we have two honest dice which has 6 sides and if we rollthem then what is the probability to get sum 11 ten times in arow? and if we get sum 11 nine times then what is the probabilityto get 11 on the next roll? please explain me as quickly as possible. if we have two honest dice which has 6 sides and if we rollthem then what is the probability to get sum 11 ten times in arow? and if we get sum 11 nine times then what is the probabilityto get 11 on the next roll? please explain me as quickly as possible.

Explanation / Answer

2 dice have 2 combinations to sum to 11 ( 5+6, 6+5).. do not forgetthat there are 2 possible outcomes of (6*6)= 36 combinations or2/36. Each roll has a 2/36 chance and since we know theprobabilities are multiplicative the probability will be(2/36)10 = 2.8*10-13. Since each roll is completely unrelated and as we said theprobability of rolling 11 each time the dice are thrown, theprobability to get 11 on the next roll (after 9 times) would be2/36= 0.055 Hope this helps
