Question

Bosons have spin 1 or 0. Fermions have spin 1/2. Fermionsfollow the Pauli principle and bosons do not. Protons, neutrons, electrons are fermions. Photons and pions are bosons. Atoms andmolecules consisting of an even number of fermions must be bosonswhen considered as a whole because their total spin will be zero oran integer. If the electrons were bosons instead of fermions inmetals, I'm guessing there would not be any covelant bondsbecause fermions attract one another and bosons are spread out. I'malso guessing the metal would not conduct electricity very wellbecause the electron's delocalization may also be affected. Bosons have spin 1 or 0. Fermions have spin 1/2. Explanation / Answer

I would agree with what you said, also everything in the worldwould literally fall apart. Since they due not follow the Pauliexclusion principal, atomic orbitals would behave very differentlyfrom what we are used to. Most likely all the electrons wouldbecome degenerate and try to occupy the lowest possible orbitalwhich would result in a very tiny atom. Magnetism in metalswould most likely be affected as well since its the non integerspin of the electron helps to cause it (total spin isn't zero). Basically the all types of chemical bonds would be affected (ifthey would form at all) and everything would be way different fromwhat we know. To put it in layman's terms, it would break theuniverse haha.
