Question
It points toward the center of Mars. It points away from the center ofMars.
1) Some planetary scientists have suggested that the planet Marshas an electric field somewhat similar to that of the earth, producing a net electric flux of3.621016 N.n^2/C at the planet'ssurface. I solved 3 out of four parts to this question and need help withonly part C. Part A: Calculate the total electric charge on the planet. My answer q =?3.2010^5 C was correct. Part B Calculate the magnitude of the electric field at the planet'ssurface (refer to the astronomical data inside the back cover). My answer E =249 N/C was correct. Part C Find the direction of the electric field at the planet'ssurface. It points toward the center of Mars. It points away from the center ofMars. Please help. I'm not exactly sure which one is the correct answer.Thank you in advance.
