17. I am attempting to create the Glycolytic pathway (Glc Pyruvate) in vitro. I purify all the enzymes of the pathway, the co-factors required, NAD+ and ATP. I then mix all these components together and add Glucose. Ithen measure the ratio of Pyruvate: Glucose in the mixture overtime. My data is shown in the graph. At the point marked "X" in the graph, I added an additional purified protein (that is not a component of the Glycolytic pathway. MoST LIKELY what protein did I add? Explain your answer. Answer is option B- Regeneration of adequate NAD+ is important for glycolysis to continue. So, addition of NAD+ to the reaction will allow more glycolysis to occur.
