Explanation / Answer

As we know that slope of position time graph gives us velocity

So,

a)

Velocity = slope of Segment A

Velocity = 10 - 40 / 1.5 - 0

Velocity = -300/15 = -20 km /hr its retardation

b)As similar as above

Velocity = 20 - 10 / 2.5-1.5

Velocity = 10 / 1 = 10 km/hr

c)

Velocity = 40-20 / 3-2.5

Velocity = 20 / 0.5 = 40 km/hr
