Venturi meter has following advantages:

1.   Co-efficient of discharge is high.

2.   Its behaviour can be predicted perfectly.

3.   Can be installed vertically,horizontally,inclined.

4.   They are more accurate and can be used for a wide range of flows.

5.   Around 90% of pressure drop can be recovered.
