The results of this research demonstrate an apparent disconnect between the perceptions of the health care team and the patient's expectations regarding birth plans.
In this research it has been shown that even in today's world , there is a place for superstition that shapes an individuals approach, maybe in some cases even neglecting their duty, and putting it in the name of over expectations. The nurses and the staff would believe that women planning for their birth cause some kind of a jinx and thus turn out to be not satisfied and experiencing a bad birth experience.
In order for the birth plan to be effective, there has to be some serious communications between the administering nursing staff and the Patient and her family. The sketch drawn has to be worked out in a proper manner such that the patient should achieve her dreams of a perfect child birth. Also, the nurses have to be taught effective communication and understanding skills so that they could realise and relate to the patient and her needs and also fulfil them .
