The central maximum occurs on the screen at location x = 2.5 cm. Find the path-length difference for the light that travels from the two slits to the screen location x = 4.5 cm. Find the path-length difference for the light that travels from the two slits to the screen location x = 3 cm. Include a sketch illustrating the concept of path-length difference. at x=2.5, it is zero order maxima. at x= 3 , it is the first minima, so path defference should be lambda/2=(600/2)= 300 nm.
at x= 4.5, it is the second order maxima, so path difference should be 2lambda=[ 2*600 ] = 1200 nm.
