Question
A uniform magnetic field is given by B =btk^, where b = 0.32 T/s .
Part A
Find the current in a conducting loop with area 290 cm2 and resistance 0.60 that lies in the x-y plane.
Express your answer using two significant figures.
Part B
In what direction is the current, as viewed from the positive z axis?
clockwise

counterclockwiseExplanation / Answer
there's some kinda law, may be lenz's law that says when magnetic flux changes around a closed loop current is produced tat opposes the change producing it...since field is in the +z direction and increasing, so the resulting current will produce field in the -ve z direction..ie clockwise current...now we have
flux= bt x area...
differntiating both sides gets us rid of time, but gives us emf and we know emf=current x resistance
emf= b x area, ie
current x resistance= b x area
current= b x area/ resistance
=.32x.0290m/.60
=0.015 A
B)
Direction is the current, as viewed from the positive z axis is clockwise
