Question 1) induced emf is given by the formula

e = B*v*l

Given l = 79.3 inches = 2.014 m

B = 31*10^-6 T

v = 40 m/s

So , e = 31*10^-6*40*2.014 = 2.5*10^-3 V

Therefore , magnitude of emf = 2.5 mV
