Using conservation of linear momentum for the inelastic collision, we get,

=> v = morangevorange / (morange + mapple)
Initial velocity of the orange in the inertial frame G = vorange - vFG
Final velocity of the orange in the inertial frame G = v - vFG
SInce the kinetic energy of the orange remains the same before and after collision in frame G, we have,

=> vorange - vFG = vFG - v
=> 2vFG = vorange + v
