C. A car is speeding up to the left. Assume that the tires are not slipping. In which direction are the tires' angular acceleration pointing

D. A car is slowing down to the left. Assume that the tires are not slipping. In which direction are the tires' angular acceleration pointing?

A car is slowing down to the left. Assume that the tires are not slipping. In which direction are the tires' angular velocity pointing?

Explanation / Answer

As you have rectangled B that means you have problem with that one,
If left means west direction then the angular velocity is in south direction i.e out of the tires. Although the car is slowing down, the rotation will still be in the counter clockwise direction when moving in the left direction hence using right hand rule the angular velocity will be pointing out of the tires or out of the page on which the tires are drawn.
