Question
Explanation / Answer
According to the statement, Aristotle is a 4 year old and he interpreted age solely based on heights of an individual (person who is tall is older than the person who is short in height). In the given options, perceptual centration (a) and egocentricity (d) may not be applicable in a 4 year old boy. Out of the other options, option (c) could be related to the situation. Basically concept is the classification of things in your mind and we make predictions and assumptions about the world around us. This can be studied in a hierarchy like the base of this is superordinate concept i.e. what we see is what we speak but it doesn’t give us much information about it. However, the above level subordinate concept is to be more specific i.e. seeing basic concepts behind the situation.
So in this case, Aristotle at his age is unable to deal with a superordinate and subordinate concept simultaneously i.e. option (c).
