A] since charges are opposite, electric field is zero at only one location which is at the right of 7 nC charge.

E = kq1/r1 + kq2/r2 = 0

9/(x+1)^2 = 7/(x-4)^2

3(x-4) = (x+1)* sqrt 7 = 2.646(x+1)

(3-2.646) x = 2.646+3*4

x = [2.646+3*4]/(3-2.646)

= 41.3 cm

b] V = summation kq/r

= 9e9*(-9e-9/(0.413+0.01) + 7e-9/(0.413-0.04))

= -22.8 V

c] it wil be at two places,

kq1/r1+kq2/r2 = 0

-9/(x+1) + 7/(4-x) = 0

36-9x = 7x +7

x = 29/16 = 1.81 cm

now other x will be at right of second charge,

  -9/(x+1) + 7/(x-4) = 0

9x - 36 = 7x +7

x = (7+36)/2 = 21.5 cm

d] E1 = summation kq/r^2 = 9e9*(9e-9/(0.0181+0.01)^2 + 7e-9/(0.04-0.0181)^2) = 2.34*10^5 N/C

E2 =  9e9*(-9e-9/(0.215+0.01)^2 + 7e-9/(0.215-0.04)^2) = 457 N/C
