I am solving first question in detail.Please post the second question as a separate question
Answer 1
given force=4.34*10^(-2)
we know force between sphere and point charge =K*Q*q/r^2 where Q is charge of sphere
where r is the distance between center of sphere and point charge
Q =surface density*surface area=12.4*10^(-6)*4*pi*(0.0498)^2=3.86*10^(-7) C
we got
r^2=K*Q*q/force
r^2=0.1001
r=0.316 m
