When the cylinder leaves the end of the ramp, it drops 5.0 m to the ground. At what horizontal distance from the end of the ramp does it land? Express your answer with the appropriate units H 5.1115 m Submit My Answers Give Up Incorrect; Try Again; 5 attempts remaining

Explanation / Answer

Velocity of the cylinder at bottom of Incline

By Law of conservation of energy:

V =(1.33gH)^0.5

H = 8 sin(30) = 4 meters

Velocity At end = 7.22 m/s

Then it drops 5 Metrs down , becomeing a projectile :

5 = 0.5x9.81xt^2

t = 1 second

Horizontal distance = 7.22x1 = 7.22 meters
