(1) A , C & D are applicable as darwin did observe variation among the siblings , but could not explain the cause . He also called Galapagos islands as the living laboratories where he observed the finches & various related plant varieties found in different islands .
(2) A , B & D as before Darwin Mendel had already proposed his theory of inheritance which was rejected by the contemporary scientists . Therefore by that time , although the terms genes & alleles were used by Mendel but it was not relevant .
